Happy Birthday to My BIG 5 YEAR OLD!

When this posts, we'll be at Disney World getting ready to meet Cinderella and have breakfast at the Castle. My heart flutters just thinking about this!
Sophie is such a precious and sweet hearted little girl.  She is my "little mommy" who is a big helper around the house and with her little sister.  God has given her such a sensitive spirit and you couldn't pay her to say something that would hurt anyone else's feelings.  (Selah is the one exception to this rule, haha).
Sophie is such a delight to us and I can't imagine our family without her.  She is truly a blessing from the Lord and I cherish her so much!  Happy Birthday to my sweet 5 year old!

Sophie was born 6 weeks after Trey started Medical School.

She was a chunk at 9 lbs!

We were instantly in LOVE with her!

I don't have any pictures from her first birthday because we lost them when a computer crashed.  Don't want to talk about it though b/c I'll start crying =(
This is her second birthday.  She look so much older than Selah to me in this picture.  Probably because her hair is so long!  And it still is!

This was the "baby doll" birthday where all she got was dolls.  This is a picture of her with Emma.

Onto the "dressup" birthday.  3 years old

Happy 3 years old!

Four years old.  This is at her class party in Ms. Johnson's class!

The "after party."  We shot all the balloons after we let them go.

Now my big girl is in Kindergarten.  I can't believe it.  Thank goodness she's not going all day because I don't know what I'd do without her!

This picture cracks me UP!  They're like two mother hens with their little chickies under their wings =)  which is fine with me.

Mac N Cheese, Socks, a Mask and a Surprise!

We took Sophie on a special date last night and let me tell you it doesn't take much to make a kid feel special, just a little time and tlc!  She kept telling me it was the best night of her life.  So sweet.
The best night of her life included macaroni and cheese, blizzard from DQ, a mask to wear in the pool, and a pack of socks from Academy.  Worth every penny to make that little girl feel special!
And to make the night even better, we ran into a couple from church at dinner.  They said they tried to pay for our meal but we were too quick, so they handed us a giftcard to the summit that they had.  They weren't sure how much money was on it but told us to call and check......
$48.00  Wow!  How awesome and sweet is that!  I love doing things like this for people and can't wait until I can do stuff like this a lot more.

Here's Trey and Sophie on our date!
All in all it was a great night!

What to do at home all day!

Sometimes I need a day to just stay home and rest.  We had a day like that yesterday.  We just played inside, did laundry, cleaned, dressed up and recovered from the fun weekend we had.
This is a little of what went on!!

Selah insisted on having EVERY bow she could find in her hair.
Then she proceeded to use her phone as a camera just like mommy!

We got out our "jewelries" and dressed up.

And that is pretty much what girls do all day at this house!

Sophie, Selah and Susan

Selah is really into dolls right now (that is a huge understatement actually.)  She always has a doll with her which is exactly like Sophie at this age.  Love that!  Meet one of our many "doll friends."

See Sophie, Selah and Susan.

See Susan pose for a picture.

Selah loves Susan.

Susan can swim float.

Susan floats away from Sophie and Selah.

Sophie and Selah are mildly concerned.

Sophie thinks hard about saving Susan, but decides not to.

Poor Susan. =(
Susan survived though.

This is how Sophie poses for a picture.

This is how Selah poses for a picture.

Sophie thinking about which jump she's going to do off the board.

Early stages of a great can opener. =)

In case you hadn't noticed, all we've done lately is swim, so stay tuned for more swimming pictures... lots more.

Hugs, Kisses and a Birthday

So, I lied about not playing catch up.  I am going to try... a little =).

Luke and Sophie at "Ya Ya's Beach" before going to dinner at Lulu's for Elaine's bday.

Aunt Riley and Sophie
Loving on her "big city" aunt while she's in town.

Me and Miss Hollywood.  By the look on her face, I think she is protesting the camera =)

Bear hug.

Kisses from Reesie Poo

Sisters, can you see the tension =)  They really do love eachother though!

More of Miss Hollywood

So hard to get these glasses on straight, hey but at least they're not upside down like usual!

Back at the condo for birthday pie?  Elaine making a wish.

Getting a little help with the candles!

Stay tuned for more!
