Sassy Skirts

Finally managed to get this picture up!  My computer is not running at peak performance and I'm having lots of difficulty uploading pics to blogger.

I am working on some "back to school" skirts for the girls this week.  Here are the fab fabrics that I found at Thimbles in Hoover.  I am so excited to get them all done.  I finished one for Sophie yesterday and she wore it to a birthday party tonight.  I'll try to put pics up of the finished product.  Thanks Jenn for letting me use the pattern!  I think when it's all said and done they'll cost about $7.50 a piece.  Not too shabby for a fun and sassy skirt!

Disney Duds, Dora Panties and more

We're in full blown Disney planning mode and I'm making a few new outfits for the girls with the help of my sweet friend Jenn.  Here is a sneak peak...

The dress Sophie is wearing is also one I finally finished just in time for the end of summer.  Still working on the Selah version of this dress!

We had a short but sweet visit from some of our favorite people and Sophie got to get her hands on this little man!

I always have pictures like this of Selah.  She has always enjoyed wearing "Sosie's pannies" outside her clothes.  =)

She is a hot mess!

Sophie during her 3 hour stomach bug.  So glad it didnt' last long!

Indoor photography in my house is a CHALLENGE to say the least because we have terrible lighting most of the day, so please excuse the "photography" if you could call it that!
Hope to be back Monday with some fun pics from this weekend!

So fresh and so green!

I've been meaning to post pictures of the precious shirts my sweet friend Jennifer made for the girls.  I made the ruffle shorts and she did the applique.  The best part was that the fabric was about $5 a yard (which made shorts for Sophie and bloomers for Selah)  and the shirts cost $4 at Walmart!  Not too shabby for a cute outfit=)

I have two more outfits that I'll post later on and then when I finish those, I am going to make some dresses.  I love dressing my sweet girls up!

Sew Fun!

I love cute ruffle shorts with mongrammed or applique tshirts.  I really wanted to get the girls a few of these matching outfits, but the best price I could find was about $30 per outfit... So I decided that I could do it myself for a lot less!

For about $24, I bought supplies (from Hancock) to make 8 pairs of shorts/bloomers for the girls.  That comes out to be about $3 each pair.  Here's my first attempt.  I used Becky for the shorts and Frannie Baby for the bloomers.

Hopefully I'll have a cute picture of my precious cuties in these soon!

I am sewing with Jennifer in a few days, so hopefully we'll have lots of cute new clothes to post soon.  Projects are so much more fun when you have a friend to do them with!
